The Professional Pursuits of Deven Parekh

Deven Parekh holds the position of managing director at Insight Venture Partners, a private quality and venture capital firm based in New York. Insight Venture Partners specializes in software and companies which are Internet-enabled and has a three billion dollar working capital base. Prior to joining Insight Venture Partners, Deven Parekh was employed by the Blackstone Group, where he was an advisor for both mergers and acquisitions and principal activities. He was educated at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a BS in Economics.

The Aspen Institute awarded Deven a Henry Crown fellowship, which commemorates Chicago industrialist Henry Crown and his commitment to integrity, industry, and philanthropy. The mission of the Aspen Institute is: "to foster values-based leadership, encouraging individuals to reflect on the ideals and ideas that define a good society, and to provide a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues." Their mission is advanced through seminars, youth-leader fellowships around the world, policy programs, and various conferences. Deven Parekh also supports Publicolor, a non-profit organization which works to motivate and inspire disaffected teens through the use of color and painting. He holds a position as member of their board.
