Sak Narwal and his Passion for Fishing

Some people fish for food while others “catch and release” for sport. Fishing as a sport can be recreational, competitive, or even a bit of both for the true enthusiast. Most fishermen enjoy the experience but others, like Sak Narwal, take their passion for fishing to a whole other level. Sak Narwal appreciates all aspects of fishing and thinks of himself as an amateur ichthyologist. He is fascinated by fish and, prior to pursuing them, studies everything that he can about them. Sak is a fisherman who carefully considers the environment of fish and learns about their distinctive traits and attributes. Their feeding habits interest him and he enjoys all aspects of the fishing process. He is drawn to different fishing techniques and has collected hundreds of unique lures and many dozens of rods and reels. Fishing is not just a hobby or even a profession for Sak Narwal – it is his calling.

Sak's passion for fishing has taken him to locations all over the United States and on waters throughout the world. In pursuit of tarpon bonefish and permit he has visited the Florida Keys. Off the shores of Montauk Point, on the Long Island section of New York, he has reeled in several shark. The waters in that area are home to many kinds of sharks, including: Blue, Mako, Thresher, Brown, and even Hammerhead. The Delaware River in New Jersey has seen Sak on his quest for the American Shad, a freshwater fish which he pursues for their sense of mystery. In Louisiana, Sak has fought hard to bring in the redfish, a great game fish. His trips down south have yielded catch which have weighed in at almost ten pounds! Sak is a fisherman unlike any other. He continues his quest for fish and looks forward to each aquatic adventure. Sak Narwal is truly at his happiest in a beautiful setting, communing with nature, with a rod in the water, and a fish on his line.
